Inoxplus
A configurator for stainless worktops where geometry, options, price and quotation start from the same product model.
I want to show this project mainly because it makes visible where engineering and software meet.
The product
A stainless worktop looks fairly simple at first. In practice the number of variants grows quickly.
Dimensions, material, sheet thickness, folds, cut-outs, sinks, tap holes and other options influence each other. At the same time the customer has to get a clear picture of what they are assembling and what it costs.
That is why a classic form configurator only works to a limited extent here. The geometry itself is an important part of the configuration.

Parameters, geometry, price and quote as one model
The solution
The configurator brings several layers together: product parameters, 3D geometry, options and cut-outs, material choices, price calculation, quotation output, and product data that can be reused later.
The idea is that changes to the product become visible in the model immediately, without needing a separate CAD file for every variant.
Not a screenshot as the end point
On this website I would rather not show Inoxplus only with screenshots.
A configurator is something you have to be able to touch. That is why I want to show a light version of the real geometric model here: rotate, change dimensions, and immediately see what changes.
That is also a good test for the broader direction of Kubuz. A project page does not have to be a still portfolio item. It can itself contain a small working technical example.
What I find interesting about this
Inoxplus sits somewhere between CPQ, CAD automation and an ordinary web application.
I find that distinction less and less important. For the user it just has to be one logical system.
You choose what you need. The model changes. The price follows. And the technical information stays coupled to the same product.
That is finally much more interesting than a configurator that only picks an article number from a list.
