Where I usually help
My work sits mainly around mechanical design, CAD automation, product configuration and engineering software. The most interesting assignments often fall right between those areas: a CAD model that needs to become smarter, a configurator that collects too many exceptions, product knowledge spread across systems, or engineering work that is done over and over again.
I would rather look at the problem first than at a tool.

I work both on defined projects and alongside existing engineering or software teams, depending on what the assignment needs. Tell me especially what you are trying to build and where it currently gets stuck. That is usually a better start than a list of technologies.
