Product configurators
Let your customer configure it. With the price and quote included.
I build configurators for manufacturers: stairs, stainless worktops, sheet metal and cabinets. Your customer picks sizes and options, sees the part rebuilt and gets a price straight away. Your sales team no longer waits on a draughtsman for every quote.
01—The offer
Send one product. A working configurator within 4 weeks.
You send me one product family: drawings, a price list and the rules that now live in someone's head. Within four weeks there is a web configurator where your customer or your sales team picks sizes and options, sees the part in 3D and gets a price, a quote and a DXF at once.
From €4,950, excl. VAT. That covers one product family with up to 15 options, one price calculation, the quote as a PDF, the DXF of the part, and the configurator online at your own address. Larger or more complex products get their own price.
02—What already runs
These configurators run in the showcase today. Change a size and watch the part and the price follow.
Steel staircase
Straight, L or U, solved from the floor height, checked against EN ISO 14122-3 and priced from its cut lists.
Configure: Steel staircaseStainless worktop
Made to measure, with folded edges, sinks, tap holes and power sockets.
Configure: Stainless worktopSheet metal transition
Cone, hopper or square-to-round, with the top off centre if needed and a flange at either end.
Configure: Sheet metal transitionIrregular cabinet wall
A handle-less wall broken open by a field of boxes. The configurator lays out the grid and prices every plate.
Configure: Irregular cabinet wallThis works for your product too
A frame, an enclosure, a railing, a machine guard. If a workshop makes it from plate and profiles, it can become configurable. Send it over and I will tell you what it takes.
03—Where it helps
Faster quotes
Every quote now needs a draughtsman, a spreadsheet or both. With a configurator the price follows every choice, and your sales team writes the quote themselves.
Customers who configure for themselves
Your customer picks the sizes on your own site, in the evening too. You get a request that is already right, instead of an email with three questions.
What is sold can be made
The price and the geometry come from the same product model. A combination that cannot be made cannot be ordered.
A configurator in Inventor or iLogic
Is your product already in Inventor? Then an iLogic configurator may be the right step: models and drawings that update themselves. I build both, and tell you which one fits.
04—What you get
Under your own name
The configurator runs at its own address, as it does for Inoxplus at inoxplus.kubuz.net, or built into your own website. Both work.
Your product data
Your product data, prices and rules stay yours. The software underneath belongs to Kubuz, and you use it for as long as the configurator runs.
Maintenance and growth
€150 a month for hosting, updates and small changes, such as a new price or an extra size. A new product family is a new project.
05—Integrations
CAD
Autodesk Inventor and iLogic: the configuration drives the model and the drawings. AutoCAD: DWG and DXF drawings straight from the configuration. STEP export, so it works with any CAD package, SolidWorks included.
Workshop
DXF flat patterns for the laser and the press brake, which your cutting software reads as is. Bill of materials and cut list as Excel or CSV.
Quote and website
The quote as a PDF. The configurator at its own address or built into your own website or web shop, such as WooCommerce or Shopify.
ERP and CRM
A link to your ERP or CRM, such as Odoo, Exact Online, Business Central, Ridder iQ, Isah, MKG or Teamleader, I build as part of the project.
06—How it runs
-
01
Send your product
Drawings, a price list and the rules that now mostly live in someone's head. Whatever you have is enough to start.
-
02
Price and planning
After a short call you get a price and a date when the configurator is ready.
-
03
Try it on your own link
I turn the product into a product definition. You get your own link to test it before it goes live.
-
04
Live
The configurator goes live and grows with your product range.
07—Questions you probably have
Does my product fit?
If a workshop makes it from plate and profiles, chances are good. Send it over and I will tell you whether this approach fits or another system works better.
Do I need a CAD package?
No. The configurator runs in the browser. There is no CAD package running in the background, and no separate CAD file per variant.
Do you also work with Tacton or iLogic?
Yes. I have worked with Tacton for years and build iLogic configurators in Inventor. Kubuz CPQ is my own system, for those who want a web configurator without CAD behind it.
